PRIMORDIAL MATTERS (2001)
Continuing in the vein of Ratna and Padma this series depicts stones and minerals against painted landscapes. The objects are removed from their natural environment and are given a new context. Through paying attention to the details around us, inanimate objects have the potential to stop our minds. “Things have a life of their own it is simply a matter of waking up their souls.” Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
